Batch convert and compress images, videos and GIFs, with a before/after comparison and watermarks. 100% on your computer. On the web and for Windows.

Magic Media Tools

Why I stopped uploading my files to random websites (and what I do instead)

We all know the scene. You have a folder with a hundred photos that are too heavy for the web, or a video that’s impossible to send by email. You search for “convert to WebP online” and start the usual ritual: upload your files to a site you’ve never heard of, wait, download them one by one, and hope the quality hasn’t gone down the drain.

I got tired of that ritual, so I built Magic Media Tools, a tool for batch converting and compressing images, videos and GIFs, designed so anyone can use it without reading a manual.

The idea is simple: drag and drop, and you’re done.
Drop in an entire folder, choose the result you want, and the app takes care of the rest. It works with the usual formats and also with the ones that tend to cause trouble, like iPhone photos or TIFF files. For video, it converts between the most common formats, pulls out a specific frame, or creates an animated GIF from a clip.

See the result before you commit.
One of my favorite features is the before/after comparison. With a simple slider, you see the original and the compressed image at the same time, and you check with your own eyes how much weight you’ve saved and whether the quality holds up. No more guessing or trial and error.

Every social network has its own format, and it’s already sorted.
To crop or fit an image, the most common proportions are right at hand: square, 4:3, 16:9, vertical for stories, ultrawide… And if you need a custom size, you can set that too. Before exporting, a preview shows you exactly how it will look.

Your brand, on everything you publish.
If you create content, you know how important it is to sign your work. You can add a text or logo watermark to images, videos and GIFs, all in the same step. You choose the color, outline, size, position and transparency, and a preview shows the result before it’s applied to the whole batch.

And most importantly: your files never leave your computer.
All processing happens on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded to any server, so you can work with personal, client or confidential material with complete peace of mind. Your originals are never touched either: the result is saved separately.

Where to try it.
You can use it right now in your browser with nothing to install: magic-media.ramirezchristian.com. And if you’d rather have it as a desktop app, there’s a Windows version available through the “Download” button on the site itself. We’re working on bringing it to Mac as well.

It’s available in Spanish and English, with light and dark modes, and built to fit into the daily routine of anyone who works with images and video: designers, photographers, content creators, marketing teams, web developers, or simply anyone who wants lighter files.

My advice is to try it with a real folder from your work. In seconds, you’ll see how many megabytes you save, and you probably won’t go back to searching for an online converter.
